Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is the Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. The actress was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading character in various television dramas. The role she played as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historical war film) was both critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous notable international and national projects. These projects comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. In addition, she was a member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
